Aug. 25, 2021 (NORMAN, Okla.) – Red River Youth Academy has named Katherine Leidy as chief executive officer. Leidy previously served as business development director at the psychiatric residential treatment facility since 2014. Before joining the staff at Red River, she worked for the Oklahoma Department of Human Services and the University of Oklahoma Center for Public Management. She has more than 30 years of experience in public, private, and non-profit organizations. Leidy serves as secretary/treasurer of the Oklahoma Psychiatric Hospital Association, as chair of the Health/Healthy Youth Council of the United Way of Norman, and as a member of the OKDHS Child Care Advisory Committee and the Cleveland County Mental Health Taskforce. She is a 2020 graduate of Leadership Norman. Leidy holds a master’s degree in administrative leadership from the University of Oklahoma and is a certified trauma-informed care trainer.
Red River Youth Academy is accredited by The Joint Commission and licensed by the Oklahoma Department of Human Services. The 64-bed facility provides treatment for children and adolescents from across Oklahoma experiencing severe behavioral health conditions.
