This year’s National Zarrow Mental Health Symposium, Sept. 28-30, at the Cox Business Center in Downtown Tulsa, offers three days of learning, idea sharing, and networking. This year’s theme is “Ready for Zero: Innovative and Sustainable Solutions for Housing and Recovery” with programming that emphasizes a wide variety of tools and strategies aimed at ending homelessness and promoting long-term success in housing, including clinical services, integrated healthcare, and wraparound recovery supports. The event is hosted by Mental Health Association Oklahoma and Community Solutions
Programming will be provided in in-depth and experiential sessions, 30-minute microburst sessions, and traditional 60- and 90-minute sessions featuring experts from across the country. Speakers will present emerging research and practices, promising and best practices, innovative solutions, professional ethics, special projects, lessons learned, obstacles identified and overcome, and more.
Mental health and law enforcement professionals may earn up to 21.75 credit hours (up to 7.25 hours/day) through the Oklahoma State Board of Licensed Social Workers, the Oklahoma Board of Examiners of Psychologists, the Oklahoma Board of Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselors, the Licensed Professional Counselor Committee, the Licensed Marital and Family Therapist Committee, and the Council on Law Enforcement Education and Training. Certified Behavioral Health Case Managers and credentialed Peer Recovery Support Specialists may also earn continuing education hours. There are opportunities to receive ethics hours on Sept. 28 and 30.
